A journey into the spirit of dance and Anatolia.
In Anadolu Break, one of the most talented break dancers of the world, the Brazilian Neguin from Red Bull BC One All Stars and the American Roxrite, meet the founder of the prestigious break dance team Flying Steps. Amigo (Kadir Memiş) who recently did an opera adaptation of Fatih Akın’s Head-On.
Anadolu Break is the story of these three dancers who embark on a journey to Anatolia to discover regional dances. From Istanbul to Aydın, Antalya to Kars, they go on a road trip that will make them discover the unique understanding and perceptions of the world that is specific to Anatolian people.
Amigo, Neguin and Roxrite, with their experience as B-Boy, then partake in a one-of-a-kind adventure through their interaction with local people and by way of rituals and cultural habits. Anadolu Break is ultimately a fusion film that seeks to understand interaction between generous cultural and artistic exchange.
